12-fight UFC veteran Sam Sicilia latest to sign multi-fight Bellator contract

Good ! Dropping a unanimous choice to promotional newcomer Gavin Tucker at UFC Fight Night 105 back in October, Sicilia dropped to a three-fight losing skid from the UFC and obtained his pink slip from the promotion. I like that he’s found a new home with Bellator, and an equally good or even better payday. Win or lose, the Washington native always shows up to battle and seems for the end. Congratulations to Sammy Dubs for his new contract, and best of luck on his new chapter.
Frank Mir agrees to cope with Bellator MMA
Nice! The UFC did the ideal thing and released Mir out of his contract, which allowed Bellator to sweep up him. My guess is that they promised him a matchup against Fedor Emalianenko, which made him pick Bellator over rival promotions. I like this move by Mir and look forward to watching him inside the Bellator cage. The Fedor matchup will surely be an intriguing one.

This was some astonishing news. Two ounces is not much, but I think that it makes somewhat of a difference.
Dillashaw: Mighty Mouse has been’consolation prize’
TJ Dillashaw is now set to confront UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt in UFC 217 in New York City on November 4th, and the most important reason this title fight is now taking place is because UFC flyweight champion Demetrious”Mighty Mouse” Johnson refused to defend his title against Dillashaw when Garbrandt was forced out of their UFC 209 contest because of injury. The Duane Ludwig-trained fighter understands that Johnson was not confident in himself to accept the challenge. Speaking to MMA Junkie Radio, Dillashaw said that the Gabrandt fight is what he wanted all along and the Johnson matchup was only a backup program. He understands that’s not a fantastic fight for him and wouldn’t accept it,” Dillashaw explained. “He is real worried about this record he needs to break. Go ahead and let him do this, I guess.”
White: Ferguson, Lee to struggle for interim lightweight name Alright, now we’re talking! Early common consensus is that Ferguson is going to handily defeat Lee, but personally, I’m not so confident. Lee has been quite impressive as of late, and I enjoy seeing his expansion within the Octagon. That is a matchup I’m excited about visiting, and win or lose, I hope Lee does not suffer any mishaps he cane make a quick turnaround for December’s UFC 218 in his native Detroit, that will be just two weeks after the Ferguson bout.

No, Diego, Nooooo!!!!! Say it isn’t so! Just call it stops, my dude. Hang up them gloves. It is time. You don’t have to be jumping back around 170 pounds when you’re lately testing the waters at 145. Do not stick around for the cash, man, the brain damage won’t be well worth it.
